Based on 2 Kings 6:8-13, this episode provides a rich explanation of Elisha's anointing and how it benefited the king of Israel during a time of war against Aram.

Elisha, a protegé of Elijah, was graced with a double portion of his master's anointing. This robust spiritual endowment gave Elisha access to divine revelations and ability to guide the leadership of Israel, as evidenced by his instructions to the king about the war strategies of Aram’s king.
